Certificate III in Solid Plastering

CPC31020 Certificate III in Solid Plastering is a nationally recognised qualification providing a trade outcome for individuals seeking to work in solid plastering across residential and commercial construction. The course integrates core construction competencies with specialised trade skills, covering plan interpretation, material selection and compliance with Work Health and Safety requirements.

Across its 20 units of competency (15 core, 5 elective), students cover applying basic levelling procedures, handling and using solid plastering materials and tools, surface preparation, applying float and render to straight and curved surfaces, set coats, trowelled texture coat finishes, and restoring and renovating solid plasterwork.

Delivered face-to-face over 54 weeks (48 weeks structured training + 6 weeks holiday), at Atlantis College's Melbourne CBD campus and a dedicated practical training facility in the Melbourne CBD. Entry may be supported by a lower-level qualification such as Certificate II in Construction, though this is not mandatory. Graduates can pursue roles as a Solid Plasterer or Renderer, with the qualification also commonly delivered through an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.
