The course is delivered at Gold Coast International College's campus located at 56 Paradise Avenue, Miami QLD 4220, on the Gold Coast.

To enrol, students must be a minimum of 18 years of age, have completed Year 10 or equivalent, and provide evidence of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent English proficiency if required.
Graduates may pursue roles such as Sport and Recreation Officer, Pool Lifeguard, Outdoor Recreation Officer, Outdoor Activity Instructor, and Community Recreation Assistant across commercial, community, and government organisations.
After completing this qualification, students may progress to the Diploma of Sport, Aquatics and Recreation Management (SIS50122) or a Certificate IV or other advanced qualifications in sport and fitness.
