This course is delivered over 104 weeks in eight ten-week terms, with up to 22 weeks of holidays depending on your commencement date. Classes are scheduled for 20 hours per week, two days per week plus 4 hours of scheduled study (face to face study).
The total tuition and material fees are AU$26,400, which includes Tuition Fees of AU$21,500 and Material Fees of AU$4,900. Fees are payable in 8 instalments over 2 years. Please note prices may vary if Recognition of Prior Learning or Credit Transfer is approved.
Yes, from Term 3 you will undertake work experience in the industry. A maximum of 360 hours will be the industry placement component, where 200 hours will be the minimum benchmark to fulfil as an integral part of the qualification. PCBT supports students in finding work placements in Terms 3–8, and PCBT assessors will visit student worksites to observe skills in action.
Yes, this course is available to both international and domestic students. The course CRICOS Code is 103801K, and students are required to meet the Department of Home Affairs English language requirements for student visa applications in addition to the course entry requirements.
In addition to a range of basic construction skills and wall and floor tiling, this qualification covers advanced skills such as Mosaic tiling and tiling curved surfaces. Students also learn to work with materials like ceramic, glass, slate, marble and clay, and may add decorative touches to their basic work.
