Common Questions
The total course fee is $30,500, which comprises a Tuition Fee of $25,000 AUD and a Non-Tuition Fee of $5,500 AUD. Additionally, students who purchase the practical training kit from the institute will be charged $400. Material fees only include printed reading materials and handouts provided by the Institute, and students pay separately for the kit if purchased from the institute.
The total course duration is 56 weeks, including holiday breaks, with a volume of learning of 1,230 hours. The course is delivered face to face on campus for theory and at TEDI's practical facility for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
International students require a minimum IELTS (General) test score of 6.0 for direct entry, or an IELTS score of 5.5 combined with at least 10 weeks of ELICOS, or an IELTS score of 5.0 combined with at least 20 weeks of ELICOS. An Oxford Placement Test score of 61 or higher is also accepted. Test results older than two years are not acceptable. Students may also qualify by providing evidence of studying in English for at least five years in approved countries, or by holding a passport from the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, or the Republic of Ireland.
Theory classes are held at Level 5, 123 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, Victoria – 3000 Australia, while practical training takes place at 17 David St, Brunswick, Victoria – 3056 Australia.
Successful completion of the Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling may enable students to apply for the CPC50320 Diploma of Building and Construction (Management). In terms of employment, units in this qualification reflect the knowledge and skills of individuals with significant experience as a Tiler or Wall and Floor Tiler. However, TEDI does not claim any employment outcome or job guarantee associated with its courses.
