Common Questions
The course duration is 52 weeks, delivered face to face through a combination of classroom sessions and practical workshop sessions.
A Certificate is issued where all 20 units have been deemed competent. A Statement of Attainment is issued when only some units are deemed competent and the course is not completed in full. Issuing of your Certificate and/or Statement of Attainment occurs within 30 days of your last unit being deemed competent, however this may be delayed if you have not provided your Unique Student Identifier (USI) or have any outstanding fees.
After completing this course, you could enrol into the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction, the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building), or the CPC60220 Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management). For other relevant qualifications or further study options in the construction sector, refer to www.training.gov.au.
Students must have English proficiency as guided by Macallan College's English Proficiency Policy and Procedures. This includes an IELTS Test overall score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no individual section score less than 5.5 — note that all applicants from AL3 countries must sit an IELTS test — or a Pre-entry Oxford English online test result of no less than B2.2 with a minimum score of 71.
The Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling is available at Macallan College's Adelaide campus (Level 10, 50 Grenfell St Adelaide 5000 SA) and Brisbane campus (151 Wellington Rd, East Brisbane 4169 QLD).
