The total course fee is AUD $16,500, which includes a tuition fee of AUD $14,000, a material fee of AUD $1,250, and an enrolment fee of AUD $1,250. Please note that the enrolment fee is non-refundable.
The course runs for 52 weeks in total, comprising 44 study weeks and 8 holiday weeks, delivered on campus in Melbourne, VIC.
You must have demonstrated an IELTS level at a score of at least 6.0 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old), or demonstrate successful completion of at least General English at Upper Intermediate or English for Academic Purposes Upper Intermediate level.
Assessment methods used for this qualification are varied and will provide a range of ways for individuals to demonstrate that they have met the required outcomes. Methods include written questions, projects, presentations, report writing, and role plays/observations. At the beginning of each unit, your trainer and assessor will outline the assessment tasks that must be completed.
You will learn to prepare surfaces, apply waterproofing, cut tiles, and use tools. The course covers installing tiles on walls and floors, including mosaics, decorative, and stone tiling; preparing substrates and creating waterproof membranes for wet areas; applying specialized adhesives; proficient use of manual and electric tile cutters, measuring tools, and grinders; reading construction plans; and applying WHS requirements in the construction industry.
