General Requirements

There are no pre-requisite requirements for this course, but preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include having completed a Certificate II in related fields of study, or having relevant workplace experience.
It is recommended that individuals should be 18 years or older.
It is recommended that individuals have completed Australian Year 12 or its equivalent with suitable English language skills.

A pre‐training interview or a placement test may be required with the candidate to determine the current competency and/or vocational experience, as well as the candidate's expectations from this course.
Completion of the general construction induction training program specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work is required by anyone carrying out construction work.
