Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)

There are two streams available: the Aircraft Maintenance Stream, which requires eight (8) core common and imported units and thirteen (13) elective technical stream units from Group A (totalling 21 units); and the Component Maintenance Workshop Stream, which requires eight (8) core common and imported units and six (6) elective technical stream units from Group B and C (totalling 14 units).

The Initial RPL report costs $770 (including GST), and the Final RPL report costs $1,090 (GST exempt).

The Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) MEA40718 articulates with the MEA50219 Diploma of Aeroskills (Mechanical), which aligns with the CASR Part 66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence.

For your Initial RPL application, you should provide documents such as your resume, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licenses (local and/or foreign), company authorisations/approvals, letters of endorsement of privileges exercised (QA), Australian (VET) qualifications and statements of attainment, Part 66 theory results from Approved Part 147 organisations, CASA Basics (CAR31) exam results, licensing exam results, workplace service letters, trade and training certificates, qualification certificates, company training records, and a USI Transcript (for onshore applicants). Please do not upload any practical logbooks (SOE/JOE) as part of your Initial RPL application.

The duration of gap training will be determined based on the evidence provided as part of your RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) application.
