Common Questions
The assessment methods for this course include a Theory component and a mandatory practical placement component of 120 hours. You must complete all placement hours to achieve competency in the units and successfully complete the course.
International students must have a minimum IELTS score of 6, or a minimum TOEFL score of 60, or a minimum PTE Academic score of 52, or a minimum Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) score of 169, or a minimum OET score of B for each component.
ETEA utilises a range of assessment methods including question and answer/written assessment tasks, role play/practical demonstration and observation of skills, practical demonstration and observation of skills in a simulated environment, and practical demonstration and observation of skills in a workplace environment. Assessment will be either a Recognition of Prior Learning pathway or a Training and Assessment pathway.
Pathways from this qualification include CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure and Health, CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability, and CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health, or you can upskill by attaining CHC53315 Diploma of Mental Health, CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services, or CHC53415 Diploma of Leisure and Health.
Yes, you can apply for recognition of prior learning, academic credit and work experience towards this qualification. Evidence of skills and knowledge accumulated through work, volunteer roles, family commitments and various tasks undertaken in everyday life can be used to help you gain a qualification.
