To obtain the full CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support qualification, students need to complete 18 units of competency successfully, which is made up of 15 core units plus 3 elective units chosen from a range of electives available to the student cohort.
To achieve the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support through SBTA, you are required to complete 150 hours of work placement within an approved aged care provider. Work placement is an opportunity for you to develop practical skills in an actual aged care facility under the supervision of a workplace supervisor.
International students must demonstrate at least an upper-intermediate level of English proficiency, such as an IELTS score of 6.0 or an equivalent score from other recognised tests. Equivalent scores include TOEFL iBT: 60-78, Cambridge English Exams (B2 First FCE / C1 Advanced CAE): 169 or above on the Cambridge scale, PTE Academic: 52-58, or an English proficiency of upper intermediate level or above from any NEAS accredited ELICOS provider.
