Common Questions
To achieve this qualification, students must complete at least 120 hours of work placement. Students will attend work placement at an aged care facility and with an NDIS Provider to complete the 120 hours in total.
International students must meet one of the following English requirements: completed the LLN assessment, five years of education taught in English, or a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 (or PTE equivalent).
For domestic students studying online, the course duration is 26 weeks. For international students undertaking face-to-face delivery, the course duration is 52 weeks, with 20 hours of study per week including work placement.
Before starting work placement, students must obtain an Australian Police Check (no longer than 6 months from the time of enrolment), complete the NDIS Online module 'Worker Orientation Module: Quality, Safety and You', obtain an NDIS Check, and provide a flu vaccination record plus updated vaccination record including COVID vaccines.
After completing CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support, students may wish to undertake higher AQF level courses such as CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services or CHC53315 Diploma of Mental Health.
