Common Questions
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work placement as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. CTI could assist with finding suitable vocational placement with their partners in the industry.
CTI requires English level evidence at Upper Intermediate level, equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or PTE equivalent, along with being 18 years and above with a High School Certificate (Year 12).
Graduates may pursue roles such as Community Program Coordinator, Personal Care Giver, Residential Care Worker, Support Worker (Community Services), Care Team Leader, Personal Care Assistant, Residential Care Officer, and Day Activity Worker.
Students successfully completing this course may enter further study at Diploma level at CTI or an Australian Apprenticeship pathway. Individuals may progress to CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services, or could progress to a wide range of other qualifications in aged care or community services industry fields.
Students will need to source on their own: black leather enclosed shoes (nursing shoes) and black pants. Additionally, students will need a yellow card for placement. CTI will provide students with a name tag, a polo shirt with logo, and a logbook.
