The course duration is 52 weeks (including holidays) and is delivered in a classroom-based format.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work placement as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. Several core and elective units include a mandatory work placement component that will be covered in the scheduled work placement hours.
The tuition fee for the Certificate IV in Ageing Support is $10,000 AUD, with an additional enrolment fee of $250 AUD.
Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services or a range of other community services qualifications.
Yes. Learners may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training via RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) or Credit Transfer. Applications for either must be made prior to the commencement of the course, and there is a fee for both processes. The granting of course credit may also affect course fees and the duration of the course.
