Common Questions
Students are required to complete 120 hours of mandatory work placement to complete the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support. Students may request Australian Health and Management Institute to organise their work placement or they may find their own. If the student finds their own placement, AHMI staff undertakes a work place suitability assessment prior to approval.
All students are required to evidence the following documentation prior to undertaking mandatory work placement: a current and satisfactory police check, and a current First Aid Certificate.
Students that successfully complete all 18 units of competency as stated in the Course Structure and mandatory 120 hours work placement will be issued with CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support. This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Students that complete some but not all units may be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
Further training pathways from the Certificate IV in Ageing Support may lead to any of the following qualifications: Diploma of Mental Health or Diploma of Community Services.
International students must meet the following English Language Entry Requirements: an IELTS score of 6.0 overall (with no band less than 5.5) or equivalent Pearson Test of English (PTE). Students must also be 18 years of age or above at the time of enrolment and hold Year 12 or equivalent of the Australian HSC.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
