The course runs for 78 weeks, which includes 18 weeks of scheduled breaks, with 20 scheduled course contact hours each week.
Applicants must provide an IELTS Test Score of 6.0 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old). Applicants with a score less than 6.0 need to package their application with the required amount of English ELICOS study. Exemptions apply for Foreign Affairs or Defence sponsored students, those who have completed at least 5 years of English study in Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland, or those who have successfully passed the Ruby Institute English Placement Test or completed General English at Advanced level.
Assessment methods used for this qualification include written questions, projects, case studies, role plays, research and reports. Assessment will be conducted individually and students will receive full descriptions, instructions and resources for each unit of competency.

After completing the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support, students can progress to the CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services. Ruby Institute also offers course packages, including a package combining the Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, and the Diploma of Community Services.
