Common Questions
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work placement as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.
Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following approved tests: IELTS Academic 6.0, TOEFL iBT 60, PTE Academic 50, or equivalent. Alternatively, applicants may demonstrate proficiency through documented evidence such as completion of a recognised ELICOS program, at least two years of study in Australia at AQF Level 4 or higher, or completion of Year 12 in English. Applicants without documented evidence may also complete an online LLND assessment and achieve a satisfactory outcome.
The further study pathways available to students who undertake this qualification include the CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services or other Diploma qualifications in community services.
To achieve this qualification, students must complete 18 units in total: 15 core units and 3 elective units. Students who complete individual units may receive a Statement of Attainment, provided their USI is verified, while students who complete all required units will be awarded the full qualification.
According to the 2026 Onshore Indicative Course Fees for International Students, the Certificate IV in Ageing Support (CHC43015) has an indicative tuition fee of $13,000.00, a work placement fee of $750.00, a material fee (including e-books) of $500.00, and a work placement requirement of 120 hours.
