As part of the Certificate IV in Ageing & Disability Support, students are required to complete at least 120 hours of structured work placement in a community organisation or registered aged care facility.
Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency with a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, with no individual module score below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification.
The Certificate IV in Ageing & Disability Support is offered at two locations: Melbourne (L 5, 341 Queen Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000) and Sydney (L 1, 54 Parramatta Road, Forest Lodge, NSW 2037).
After completing the Certificate IV in Ageing & Disability Support, students may progress to qualifications including the CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling, CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services, CHC52121 Diploma of Community Development, or CHC53315 Diploma of Mental Health.
Yes, if you have previously completed a unit with the same unit code or unit title as in your new course, you may be eligible for a Credit Transfer and may not have to repeat that unit. You will need to complete a Credit Transfer application form and provide a certified copy of the transcript or statement of attainment, and applications must be made prior to the commencement of the course.
