Certificate IV in Automotive Body Repair Technology

AUR40720 Certificate IV in Automotive Body Repair Technology is a vocational qualification delivered by UTA Institute of Technology (UTAIT) at its Reservoir, Victoria campus, designed to equip students for team leader or workplace manager roles in the automotive body repair and refinishing sector. Entry requires completion of a Certificate III such as AUR32120 Automotive Body Repair Technology, AUR32220 Automotive Glazing Technology, AUR32320 Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology or AUR32420 Automotive Refinishing Technology, or demonstrated equivalent competency. Students complete 10 units of competency (6 core and 4 elective), covering managing complex customer issues, estimating and quoting body repairs, inspecting vehicle damage and repair quality, applying OEM repair procedures, and depowering hybrid and battery electric vehicles, alongside environmental and workplace safety practice. Training is delivered face-to-face with theory, practical and project-based assessment, and international and domestic students both study over 20 weeks including a 4-week scheduled break, attending a minimum of 20 hours per week across 2.5 study days. Monthly intakes are available with flexible study-day options. Graduates are equipped for team leadership and supervisory roles in automotive body repair and refinishing.
