Those undertaking the Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis must have completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification from Lead College or another institute with similar electives, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.
Assessment methods may include direct observation of practical tasks, oral and written questioning, completion of workbooks, simulated workplace activities, interviews, and third-party reports. Specific assessment types include written questions or reports, practical activities or projects, case study analysis, observation during practical sessions, and work placement where applicable.
Students who successfully complete all units will receive a Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (AUR40226). Learners who partially complete the qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units they are deemed competent.
The tuition fee for the Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (AUR40226) is $6,000 AUD, with an additional material/placement fee of $500 AUD, for a total course duration of 26 weeks.
After completing the AUR40226 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis, students may progress to the AUR50126 Diploma of Automotive Management.
