Applicants must provide an IELTS score of 5.5 or a PTE score of 42, or hold a Certificate III in EAL or its equivalent to meet the English language entry requirements for this course.
Yes. Those undertaking the Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis must have completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.
Teaching is conducted in the classroom as well as in the Automotive Workshop when required to simulate a real work environment. The delivery includes face to face teaching, lectures, discussions, research, learning activities, group work and supervised practical sessions. Assessments comprise of written assignments and project works, case studies and practical demonstration.
The course comprises 23 weeks, including holidays and term breaks. There are 2 Terms which include 20 Study Weeks and 3 Holiday weeks.
In addition to all software, equipment, personal protective gear and uniforms (if applicable), students are required to have access to a PC or laptop, reliable internet connection, a browser application (e.g. Google Chrome), a pair of headphones, access to Microsoft Office suite including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and access to Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player.
