The program is delivered over 26 weeks (holiday inclusive) with 20 contact hours per week, which includes theory education in the classroom and practical training in the fully equipped workshop facility. Students are also advised to do approximately 10 hours per week of unstructured learning.
The tuition fee for the AUR40226 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis is $9,375, with an enrolment fee of $250 and a material fee of $625.
To enter this qualification, applicants should have successfully completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency. Additionally, applicants should have successfully completed an Australian Year 11 (or international equivalent), OR a recognised Foundation Studies program in Australia, OR the International Baccalaureate Certificate, OR an Australian qualification at AQF level 3 or higher.
The course is delivered face-to-face. Classroom delivery takes place at Level 1, 287-313 Macaulay Road, North Melbourne, VIC 3051, and practical automotive workshop training is conducted at Unit 5, 60 Stubbs St, Kensington VIC 3031.
After successfully completing the AUR40226 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis, students may apply for further study including the AUR50126 Diploma of Automotive Management or the AUR50216 Diploma of Automotive Technology.
