Common Questions
The course runs for 26 weeks, including 24 study weeks and 2 weeks of holidays.
You need an IELTS score of 6.0 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following: Educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or Completed at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO; or Successful completion of an English Placement Test. Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can also be accepted if equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
Those undertaking the Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis must have completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.
This program is delivered in the classroom and through structured self-study. The study load is 20 hours a week in the classroom and 4 hours of structured self-study.
Assessments are an integral part of this course and may encompass a variety of formats, such as: Written questions, Projects, Presentations, Reports, Role plays/observations, and Portfolios/journals. At the commencement of each unit, your trainer and assessor will outline the specific assessment tasks that you are required to complete.
