The course duration is 26 weeks (including holidays). Tuition fees are $6,750 and the application fee is $350.
Intakes are in January, April, July & October (monthly intake available for onshore students). The course is delivered at West Footscray, Hobart, and Brisbane campuses.
Students entering this qualification must have satisfactorily completed Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent Australian qualification. At enrolment, all students must complete a literacy and numeracy test to ensure the appropriate level of skills for the best chance of successful completion of the course.
Further training pathways from this qualification include AUR50116 Diploma of Automotive Management, AUR50216 Diploma in Automotive Technology or other relevant qualifications.
Students enrolled in Automotive qualification must use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the Automotive workshop. PPE can be purchased from the college with an additional cost. Students have an option to source their own PPE.
