Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (Fast Course)

The fast course runs for 26 weeks in total (including holidays), with 20 contact weeks delivered over 2 academic terms of 10 weeks each, with a 2-week break between terms.

The course fees are: Tuition Fee $4,750 AUD, Material Fee $800 AUD, and Application Fee $250 AUD (non-refundable).

International students must be at least 18 years of age, have an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher (or equivalent TOEFL 60, PTE 50, or Upper Intermediate/EAP provided by IOMT), have completed a Year 12 or equivalent certificate, and must have successfully completed a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.

The course covers advanced training in mechanical and electrical systems, maintenance, service and repair, diagnosis of complex faults in automotive vehicle systems, reports and technical document development, and interpreting and producing technical information.

IOMT's main campus is located at Suite 29, 4 Cardinia Rd, Officer VIC 3809, which is 40 minutes from Melbourne CBD by train and 4 minutes walking from the Metro Station. Students may also be eligible for potential benefits from regional study due to the Officer location.
