Certificate IV in Building and Construction

All students must be aged 18 years or over at the time of applying for admission to Platinum Institute Australia. Education Level A satisfactory completion of studies equivalent to an Australian Year 11 qualification. Where a student cannot demonstrate an equivalent to an Australian Year 11 qualification, PIA will consider the application on a case-by-case basis. Consideration will be given to areas such as but not limited to; age, previous employment and life skills. English Language Level IELTS band score of overall 6.0 (Academic or General) or equivalent in line with the Department of Education and Department of Home Affairs regulations. Language, Literacy and Numerously Level All students must undertake a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) regardless of English Language scores, PIA wants to ensure that students get the most out of their training. Where students are unsuccessful on their LLN, PIA will not be able to progress with the enrolment into this course. After completion of the General English or English for the Construction Industry the student can be re-assessed to then determine their eligibility for entry into the course. Digital Capability Basic digital literacy (ability to communicate and access information through digital technologies like internet platforms, social media, search engines, emails and basic use of MS office products). Digital Hardware Students will be required to provide their own device to undertake this course, Platinum Institute Australia recommends a Laptop Computer with Internet Access and up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader. Students will also be required to have a mobile device capable of capturing Photo and video.
