The program is delivered over 52 weeks (holiday inclusive) with 20 contact hours per week, which includes theory education in the classroom and practical training in the fully equipped workshop facility. Students are also advised to do approximately 10 hours per week of unstructured learning.
Yes. Learners may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training through RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) or Credit Transfer. If students have previously completed a unit with the same unit code or unit title, they may be eligible for a Credit Transfer. Applications for both RPL and credit transfer must be made prior to the commencement of the course, and there is a fee for these processes.

After successfully completing the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction, students may apply for the CPC50220 – Diploma of Building and Construction (Building).
