Delivered full-time over 38 weeks (34 weeks of study plus 4 weeks of term breaks) in a blended format - 16 hours face-to-face and 4 hours online per week - at Tr4inright's Melbourne CBD campus, the course comprises 11 core and 8 elective units, covering building codes, legal requirements, site surveys, waste minimisation, work health and safety, and reading plans and specifications.

Entry requires applicants to be at least 18 years old with Year 12 (or equivalent) and IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent). On completion, graduates can progress to Diploma-level CPC qualifications or undergraduate study, and pursue roles as Builder, Construction Supervisor, Site Manager, Site Supervisor or Leading Hand.

General Requirements

Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of applying for admission
Satisfactory completion of Australian Year 12 or an equivalent level of study (in Australia or the applicant's home country)
English Proficiency: minimum IELTS 5.5 or equivalent; OR IELTS 5.0 plus satisfactory completion of an Upper Intermediate ELICOS/EAL-EAP program (10-20 weeks); OR successful completion of 5 years' education in an English-speaking country; OR (for exempt countries) Tr4in Right's own LLN Test; OR, within 2 years of application, completion in Australia of a foundation course, Senior Secondary Certificate, or at least 70% of an AQF Certificate IV or higher qualification; OR any other form satisfying the institution at pre-enrolment interview
Completion of a Pre-training interview and an LLN Test
Basic digital literacy and access to own PC/laptop with internet connection
