Yes, this course is eligible for Free TAFE. Eligible Victorian students who elect to use their Free TAFE opportunity will not incur any tuition fees, however material and resources fees still apply. Additional costs include an Education Levy of $84.15, Materials fee of $450.00, and a Licence fee of $130.00.
For the July 2026 intake at East Geelong Campus, classes are held Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 4pm. Class times are indicative and may change before the course starts.
After completing this course, you can progress to the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry. Many Gordon courses offer pathways to higher qualifications within The Gordon and in some cases to university degrees, and your Gordon course may provide credit points which could reduce further study time.
Assessment for this course is based on questioning, observations, and practical demonstrations.
Yes. If you have previously completed any of the units of competency relevant to this course, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer (CT). Any previous relevant experience may qualify you for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
