All students must be at least 18 years old at the time of course application, and successful completion of Australian Year 11 or the Australian/overseas equivalent is mandatory. As part of the enrolment process, students are also required to complete a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) test to ensure they have the ability to complete the course.
The delivery is classroom-based with 20 hours of face-to-face delivery per week. Students complete in-class activities, presentations, discussions, and assessment tasks including practice exercises, small group and pair learning activities, use of textbooks and reference materials, independent reading, and assessment tasks. Learning styles are catered to by using whiteboard illustrations, multimedia presentations, oral instructions with handouts, and interactive learning through role plays, case studies, and supervising the practical implementation of skills.

Yes, an application can be made for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) when the student believes that they have already attained the necessary skills and competencies elsewhere (work, other study etc.) or have an equivalent qualification or part of a qualification. The institute recognises AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by any other RTOs and grants credit for these towards an award where applicable. The application for RPL and/or Credit Transfer should be lodged prior to or immediately after the enrolment.
