Certificate IV in Business at Spencer College, a Brisbane registered training organisation (RTO 31809, CRICOS 03093K), is suited to those working as administrators and project officers, using well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems, analyse information from a variety of sources, and provide leadership and guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of a team. Across twelve units students develop critical thinking, digital collaboration, business relationship management, presentation and complex writing skills, WHS policy implementation, workplace communication strategies, personal work priorities, emotional intelligence, meeting organisation, marketing activities and research analysis. The course is delivered over 40 weeks of classroom-based training at the Brisbane campus, including a maximum of 7 weeks' holiday depending on intake, combining face-to-face and online lectures/workshops with practical, simulated activities; distance learning is not available, and students must attend a minimum of 20 hours of class time per week to satisfy Student Visa requirements.
