About This Course

The Certificate IV in Business (Leadership) (BSB40120) reflects the role of individuals in a variety of Business Services job roles, including those with supervisory performance accountabilities. Graduates carry out a mix of specialist and moderately complex administrative or operational tasks that require self-development skills, using well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base to solve unpredictable problems and analyse information from a range of sources.

Delivered face to face on campus, the course includes classroom tutorials, case study analysis, interactive discussion and a simulated workplace business environment. Students complete 12 units of competency (6 core and 6 elective) covering critical thinking, digital technologies, business relationships, WHS, written communication, workplace communication strategies, personal work priorities and wellbeing, leadership, and team learning and development.

Graduates are prepared for administrative and early leadership roles such as Administrator or Project Officer, with further training pathways into Diploma and Advanced Diploma level BSB qualifications.
