Students must demonstrate an English level of IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5, or an equivalent qualification such as IBT 60, PTE 50, CAE 169, OET B, General English Advanced or equivalent, MOI Certificate, Duolingo 95, MET, LANGUAGECERT Academic, CELPIP, or a General Certificate IV or higher qualification with an Australian institution.
Assessment methods used throughout the course include written questions or reports (to demonstrate understanding of theoretical concepts), practical activities or projects (hands-on tasks simulating real-world challenges), case study analysis (applying critical thinking to complex scenarios), observation (direct observation during practical sessions), and work placement (supervised workplace performance monitoring where applicable).
After completing the CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability, you may progress to CHC52021 – Diploma of Community Services.
Yes. Lead College recognises qualifications issued by other RTOs and will accept and mutually recognise qualifications and Statements of Attainment awarded by any other registered training organisation. Credit Transfer is available for subjects or units where equivalence can be established. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is also available for skills and knowledge gained through work and life experience and other unrecognised training; the process and options will be discussed during the entry process and interview stage.
Applicants must have completed one of the following: CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) with Lead College or another institute with a similar elective; OR CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability); OR CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability PLUS the CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set.
