Yes, work placement is a mandatory component of this qualification. Students must complete at least 120 hours of work placement. Additionally, students are required to have a Flu Shot before going to work placement, as it is a mandatory requirement for some facilities.
Training delivery and assessment methods include Role Play/Observation in Class, Group Activities, Written Examinations in class under trainers' supervision, Case Studies/Scenarios, Research Assignments, and Workplace Assessments.
After completing the CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support, education pathways may include CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services, and CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
