Common Questions
To enrol in this qualification, students must have completed UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or hold a current Unrestricted Electricians Licence or its equivalent issued in an Australian State or Territory. Domestic students must also be 18 years or older and have satisfactorily completed Year 12 or equivalent.
The course duration is 52 weeks including holidays, and it is delivered face-to-face at the Blacktown NSW campus.
International students must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following: an IELTS level of 5.5 or above with no band under 5.0, TOEFL 62 (internet-based), Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) 46, Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) score of 162, or OET score of C for each test component.
This qualification provides a pathway for students to continue their studies in the tertiary domain and study a Bachelor of Engineering.
Yes, all students enrolled in this qualification must undertake practical exercises and laboratory work. Lab work requirements include holding a National Criminal Police Check and a First Aid Course certificate.
