Common Questions
Tuition fees are $12,000 for domestic full-time students (includes PPE, training and assessment resources) and $22,000 for international students (includes PPE, training and assessment resources; excludes OSHC, visa fees, and accommodation). Payment plans are available, allowing students to pay per semester or in monthly instalments. Fee reductions may apply for Credit Transfer, RPL, or Government Funding.
Intech Institute offers a range of study options including: Full-time on campus (for both Domestic and International Students), Full-time on-the-job training (for Trade Workers only), RPL for existing skills (must have worked in the industry), Apprentice and Trainee pathways (Domestic Students only), and QLD Government Subsidised RPL and Gap Training (QLD Residents only).
Students can progress onto higher level courses within the college, including the MEM50119 Diploma of Engineering – Advanced Trade, MEM50222 Diploma of Engineering – Technical, and MEM60122 Advanced Diploma of Engineering. Credits may also include units of competency contained within relevant skills sets and statements of attainment.
International students will have the opportunity to complete the program on campus through practical training and assessment and on-the-job placements. Students are encouraged to seek industry work placement to gain the maximum benefit from the course, and InTech may assist in securing industry work placements (conditions apply). There is also an opportunity for an 18-month post-study work visa, making the student job-ready.
Yes. Credit may be granted towards this qualification by those who have completed MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade, MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, or other relevant qualifications. Additionally, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for candidates who can demonstrate their skills through a portfolio of evidence, prior qualifications, employment history, work samples, references, journals, or practical and written/verbal testing.
