The tuition fee for MEM40119 Certificate IV in Engineering (CRICOS Course Code: 112672F) is listed alongside MEM31925 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade in the fee schedule. The Certificate III has a tuition fee of $7,000 and material/placement fee of $1,000. Please contact Lead College's marketing staff or a consultant for the specific fee applicable to the Certificate IV in Engineering.
You must have completed MEM31922 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade with Lead College or another institute with a similar elective. This qualification is not intended for pre-employment or pre-apprenticeship use, and it is expected that learners are qualified tradespeople with access to structured on- and off-the-job training, or apprentices under an Australian Apprenticeship arrangement.
Additional training opportunities stemming from this certification consist of pursuing the Advanced Trade Diploma in Engineering or other suitable qualifications. Career progression pathways include welding, boilermaking, surface finishing, and sheet metalworking.
Students are assessed through a range of methods including written questions or reports to demonstrate understanding of theoretical concepts, practical activities or projects simulating real-world tasks, case study analysis for critical thinking, direct observation during practical sessions or workplace activities, and supervised work placement where applicable. Students must successfully complete all units to receive the MEM40119 Certificate IV in Engineering certificate.
