Common Questions
To enrol, students must be 18 years of age or above, have completed Year 10 or equivalent (or have relevant experience), and meet English language requirements by either completing the LLN assessment, providing evidence of at least two years of full-time study taught and assessed in English, or achieving a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 with no band less than 5.0 (or PTE equivalent) for international students.
The course runs for 28 weeks (including a break). International students attend face-to-face classes at 20 hours per week at either the Adelaide or Sydney campus, while domestic and Study Abroad students can study online via an E-Learning Platform with Virtual Zoom Class Sessions of 2 hours per week.
Students must complete 10 units of competency — 4 core units (BSBЕСБ401, BSBЕСБ402, BSBЕСБ403, BSBЕСБ404) covering business plans, legal and risk management, finances, and marketing, plus 6 elective units covering topics such as investigating business opportunities, developing business proposals, promoting innovation, environmental sustainability, building business relationships, and WHS policies.
Graduates of the BSB40320 Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business may gain work as a small business owner, small business manager, new venture manager, or project coordinator.
After completing the BSB40320 Certificate IV in Entrepreneurship and New Business, students may wish to undertake the 11210NAT Diploma of Entrepreneurship and Innovation or similar courses. If a qualification is only partly achieved, a Statement of Attainment is issued for successful achievement of a single or multiple unit of competency.
