Entry Requirements

General Requirements

Have completed Australian Year 10 (or equivalent)
Be at least 16 years of age
Have technological literacy (ability to use and access a computer with word processing applications)
You will also need access to a computer with a reliable internet connection in order to complete this qualification.
Note: You may also have an initial interview to assess their individual learning needs and their language, literacy and numeracy skills.

What assessments do I need to complete for this qualification?

With the Certificate IV in Environmentally Sustainable Management, you'll complete assessments that are a mixture of short-answer knowledge questions and practical tasks. You may choose to complete your practical tasks by using a provided case study or applying them in your own workplace. This course is exam-free, and your ACBI Trainer will be available to guide you through all your assessments.

Is further study available after this qualification?

Yes! Graduates are eligible to progress into higher-level sustainability qualifications such as the MSS50122 Diploma of Sustainable Operations and the AHC60422 Advanced Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management. You may also choose to build your WHS skills by completing the BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety. You can save time and money by packaging your 11130NAT Certificate IV in Environmentally Sustainable Management with another qualification.

Can I get credit for previous study or work experience in sustainability?

Yes. If you've previously studied one or more units of competency in this course, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer. And if you have work experience in environmental management or sustainability, you may be eligible to receive Recognised Prior Learning.
