Common Questions
The course runs for a total of 57 weeks, comprising 51 teaching weeks and 6 weeks of scheduled breaks, and is delivered face to face with independent research at ICM's Melbourne CBD campus.
Entry to the qualification may be from trade and non-trade backgrounds. However, industry expectation is that it will be undertaken primarily by those who have completed a Certificate III in Glass and Glazing or achieved equivalent industry experience.
Students must meet the English language requirement by achieving one of the following minimum scores: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 64 (only accepted if taken on or before 25 July 2023), Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 169, or PTE Academic 50. Lower scores may be accepted with the completion of 10 or 20 weeks of ELICOS/Foundation study.
Yes. ICM can grant course credit for units of competency already completed with another RTO or authorised issuing organisation, and there is no charge to apply. RPL is also available for skills and knowledge gained through work and life experience; ideally you should apply at the time of enrolment or up to 2 weeks into your course. Note that for international students, receiving credit or RPL will reduce your course duration, and you will be informed of this in writing.
Upon successful completion, graduates can pursue roles such as Estimator / Project Supervisor, Architectural or Commercial Glazier, Glazier, Glass Cutter / Processor, and Glass Installer / Repairer. Further education pathways include the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction and the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building).

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
