Common Questions
The total duration of the Certificate IV in Hospitality is 52 weeks, including breaks. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for specific break periods.
International students are required to have an English ability at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. Students who wish to apply for VET courses directly without IELTS 6.0 or an equivalent must package their application with ELICOS.
A total of 21 units must be completed to successfully achieve this qualification, comprising 9 core units of competency and 12 elective units of competency. Units cover areas such as food safety, customer service, responsible service of alcohol, conflict management, financial management, and work health and safety.
Graduates of this qualification may pursue roles such as Concierge, Front office supervisor or team leader, Housekeeper, and Duty manager or Shift manager.
Pathways from this qualification lead to further study in the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management, or a range of other Diploma qualifications offered at Wells International College.
