Yes, students enrolled in the Certificate IV in Hospitality course must complete a mandatory work placement of 36 shifts. Students are required to source their own work placements.
Applicants must provide English level evidence at Upper Intermediate level (IELTS 5.5 or PTE equivalent), be 18 years and above with a High School Certificate (Year 12), and submit a verified copy of qualifications and transcripts confirmed by CTI's approved student recruitment agent.
After completing the Certificate IV in Hospitality, graduates can work as a Hospitality or Customer Service Supervisor in hospitality organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
Students successfully completing this course may further study at Diploma level at CTI or pursue an Australian Apprenticeship pathway. Specifically, individuals could progress to SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality or Diploma qualifications in any service industry field.
