The Certificate IV in Information Technology (ICT40120) is offered at both Kent Institute Australia's Sydney campus (Level 11, 10 Barrack Street Sydney NSW 2000) and Melbourne campus (Level 10, 350 Queen Street Melbourne VIC 3000).
The course runs for 4 Terms and is delivered full-time on campus only, with a study load of 20 hours per week using blended mode (face-to-face and supervised study sessions).
Applicants from non-English speaking backgrounds are required to demonstrate English proficiency. The minimum requirement is an IELTS (Academic) overall band score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 5.5, or an equivalent qualification. English test scores are only valid if they are less than 2 years old at the commencement of the course.
After completing the Certificate IV in Information Technology, students can progress to the ICT50220: Diploma of Information Technology, the ICT60220: Advanced Diploma of Information Technology, the Bachelor of Information Technology, or the Bachelor of Business.
Students are assessed through a variety of methods including Case Studies, Scenarios (Problem Solving), Practical Activities, Oral Presentations, Multiple Choice Quizzes, Written Portfolios, Projects, Reports, and Practical Observations.
