Yes, TAFE SA offers the Certificate IV in Information Technology (CRICOS 108425M) across specialisations including Systems Administration Support, Programming, Networking and Web Development, delivered online, via virtual classroom, or on campus at Adelaide City.
This is not an entry-level qualification — domestic applicants should already hold a Certificate III in Information Technology or have substantial industry experience, plus complete an LLND assessment. Online students need a webcam and suitable hardware (minimum Intel i5 or equivalent AMD CPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD). International applicants need Year 11 (or equivalent) and Academic IELTS 6.0 overall (min 5.0 per band) or an approved equivalent test, and must be at least 17 on commencement.
Domestic fees vary by units enrolled: Concession $2,734, Subsidised $3,889, or Full Fee $7,084 per semester. International students pay AUD$16,270 total for the 1-year full-time course.
The course runs for 12 months and can be studied full time or part time, with online, virtual classroom, and on-campus (Adelaide City) delivery options. International students study full time over 1 year with January and July intakes.
Graduates can pursue roles such as IT Support Technician, Database and Systems Administrator, or IT Security specialist.
