Common Questions
There are two ways to apply: you can apply through a CIT Educational Agent, who will assist you with your visa and study applications and deal directly with CIT on your behalf, or you can apply online through CIT's International Online application portal at international.cit.edu.au/apply. Note that applicants from countries with a 'Regular' risk rating must apply through a CIT Educational Agent.
Mainstream courses commence in February and/or July. Some courses are also available for commencement in April and October. English courses commence every five weeks. There are no application deadlines for international students applying to CIT.
Each course outline on the CIT International website will advise the language proficiency required for study. To obtain a student visa you may also need to meet the English language requirements specified for your country by the Department of Home Affairs (DoHA).
All applications must be accompanied by a Statement of Purpose (SOP). A SOP is detailed information outlining your aptitude and motivation for study in your chosen area of specialisation, including your preparation for the field of study, academic plans, interests and future career goals. A guide for completing your SOP is available on the CIT International website.
CIT is located at Room C102, First Floor, Building C, Vowels Crescent, Canberra Institute of Technology, Bruce ACT 2617, Canberra, Australia. You can also contact CIT International by phone at +61 2 6207 4662 or by email at international@cit.edu.au.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
