Common Questions
The course tuition fees are $16,500 AUD plus a $250 enrolment fee and printing costs up to $250. The tuition fees include the uniform and basic knife kit provided on Orientation Day. Course Progression Payment Plans are also available to approved applicants. Please note that fees can change prior to your application being accepted.
Mayfair College has partnered with Mantle Group Hospitality, one of Australia's leading and well-respected hospitality organisations. Students can take part in hands-on vocational placement at any one of Mantle Group's well-established restaurants, including Jimmy's on the Mall, Pig 'N' Whistle, The Charming Squire, The Lucky Squire (Gold Coast), Phuc Deli Viet, The Summit Cafe and Restaurant, Tai Tai, The Sound Garden, Embers, and Babylon Brisbane. The opportunity to travel interstate to their NSW venue, Babylon Rooftop, is also available.
The total duration of the course is 90 weeks, based on 20 hours per week study mode which includes shifts of vocational placement. This duration is inclusive of 78 weeks of study and 12 weeks of academic break. Course duration is dependent on individual candidate criteria, study mode, and applications such as RPL and Credit Transfer.
Yes, Mayfair College offers RPL, which identifies and validates the skills you have gained prior to joining. Credits can be applied based on evidence such as workplace testimonials, observations, examples of work, and video footage, and are assessed on a case by case basis. Documentation required can include records of completed training, assessment items, assessment records, declarations from an employer, or a copy of records provided by ASQA. The costs associated will depend on the amount of RPL you are eligible for and will be provided during your application process.
International applicants must demonstrate English proficiency of IELTS 6.0 (International English Language Testing System) or an English Certificate of Upper Intermediate or Higher. Additionally, all students are required to complete a FSAT (Foundation Skills Assessment Tool) and LLN (Literacy, Language & Numeracy) Assessment once on premise at Mayfair College.
