The course runs for 78 weeks in total, including 60 weeks of study and 18 weeks of holidays. Duration may vary if the student has applied for advanced standing and been granted credit transfer (CT).
Yes, students are required to attend 10 weeks of Vocational Placement at 20 hours per week, totalling 200 hours of industry-based practical experience.
Tuition fees are AU$18,000 for both international and domestic students. Additional fees include a Resource fee of AU$2,000, a Material fee of AU$450, and a non-refundable Enrolment Fee of AU$250 payable at the time of enrolment. International students are also required to hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their student visa.
Students who complete the Certificate IV in Kitchen Management may progress to the Diploma of Hospitality Management.
International students must provide evidence of English language proficiency, with a minimum IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.5, a Pearson Test of English (Academic) score of 42 with no score less than 36, or Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) score of 169. The English language test must have been completed within two (2) years prior to the student's enrolment application date. Exemptions may apply for citizens or passport holders of the United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, New Zealand, or Ireland, or for students who have completed certain Australian qualifications.
