Common Questions
The course fee is $15,000 (Fee for Service). Payment options include upfront 100% payment, a payment plan (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly), direct debit, or credit card with a 2.5% surcharge for Visa/MasterCard and 3% for Amex.
To enrol, you need Australian Year 12 equivalent or mature age entry, an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no component below 5.5, a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent workplace experience, and you must complete a mandatory LLN Assessment to determine candidate suitability to the training product.
The course has a duration of 78 weeks and comprises 33 units in total — 27 core units and 6 elective units.
Graduates may pursue careers as a Chef, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager. The qualification reflects roles with a supervisory or team leading responsibility in the kitchen.
After completing this qualification, you may be eligible to progress to a Diploma of Hospitality Management or pursue advanced culinary qualifications.
