The tuition fee for the Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (SIT40521) is AUD $16,000, with an additional material/placement fee of AUD $2,000. The first instalment includes a $250 enrolment fee, material fee, and the first term's tuition fee (non-tuition fees are not refundable).
Yes, it is mandatory to complete work placement to be eligible for attainment of the SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management. Students who do not complete work placement will not be eligible to receive the full qualification.
Learners who partially complete the qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units they are deemed competent in, rather than the full SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management certificate.
Yes, after completing the SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, students may progress to the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management at Lead College.
Students are assessed using a variety of methods including written questions or reports to test theoretical knowledge, practical activities or projects simulating real-world tasks, case study analysis, direct observation during practical sessions, and supervised work placement where performance and skill application are monitored according to workplace standards.
