About This Course

BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers across a range of enterprise and industry contexts. As well as being responsible for their own performance, they provide leadership, guidance and support to others, take some responsibility for organising and monitoring a team's output, and apply solutions to a mix of predictable and unpredictable workplace problems.

Across its 12 units of competency (5 core, 7 elective), students cover demonstrating leadership in the workplace, applying communication strategies, leading and facilitating a team, coordinating business operational plans, implementing WHS policies, managing risk, promoting innovation and implementing customer service strategies.

Delivery is 70% face-to-face classroom instruction and 30% online. Graduates commonly move into roles such as team leader, supervisor, coordinator or leading hand, with a pathway into the Diploma of Leadership and Management or other Diploma-level qualifications.
