The course runs for 52 weeks (1 year), made up of four (4) x ten-week terms plus twelve (12) weeks of holidays.
The course is delivered through a combination of face-to-face and online study. Students attend 15 hours of face-to-face classes per week over 2 days on campus (7.5 hours x 2 days with one 45-minute break), plus 5 hours of online study per week and 10 hours of self-study per week, totalling approximately 30 hours per week.
International students must have a valid IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent with no less than 5.0 in any band. Other accepted tests include Cambridge First Certificate of English – Grade C (162-168), TOEFL PBT score of 525, TOEFL IBT score of 70, TOEIC (Listening/Reading 620; Speaking/Writing 260), or PTE Score 42. Evidence of 5 years of study in an English-speaking country or at least 2 years of continuous accredited study in Australia may also be accepted.
To be issued the qualification BSB40820 Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication, you must be assessed as competent in all 12 units of competency, which includes 6 core units and 6 elective units.
Graduates may be employed in a variety of roles including Media Planner, Community Relations Team Leader, Direct Marketing Officer, Assistant Advertising Account Planner, Public Relations Officer, Advertising Account Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator, Promotions Assistant Manager, and Media Assistant.
